Theatre in English.

Today we took the 1st and 2nd ESO students to the theatre. The play, Hotel Canterville, was performed in IES La Torreta and it was about a crazy hotel with an Elvis imitator, a ghost and a band of robbers. The actors asked for volunteers to help them and some students went to the stage. The Oscar for the best amateur actor goes to Santiago Bobadilla (1st ESO D), who crossed half of the room to volunteer (he was sitting at the back) and learnt his part very quickly. We all enjoyed it and soon we will have here some pictures taken by our official photographer, Javier Hipólito (1st ESO A), who kindly brought his camera. And special thanks to Noemí Peidró, the Greek teacher (see blog here), who accompanied us in our trip. Tomorrow we'll go again with the 3rd, 4th ESO and the 1st BAT students to see another play: That's Life. So that's all for the moment.

Hoy hemos ido al IES La Torreta con los alumnos de 1º y 2º de ESO a ver una obra de teatro en inglés: Hotel Canterville, que trata de las locas aventuras de una banda de atracadores en un hotel con fantasma donde el botones era imitador de Elvis. Los actores han pedido voluntarios para salir al escenario y el Óscar al mejor actor amateur va para Santiago Bobadilla (1º ESO D), quién se cruzó media sala (estaba sentado al fondo) para ofrecerse voluntario y se aprendió muy rápidamente el papel. Todos disfrutamos con su actuación y pronto colgaremos aquí las instantáneas que nuestro fotógrafo oficial, Javier Hipólito (1º ESO A) ha estado sacando amablemente durante toda la excursión. Asimismo, damos las gracias a la profesora de griego (ver blog), Noemí Peidró, que también nos acompañó. Mañana volveremos con los alumnos de 3º, 4º de ESO y 1º de BAT para ver la obra That's Life. Así que, eso es todo por ahora.
